Cricut and Cuttlebug

Posted by PicasaCricut and Cuttlebug

Hi folks ! Back from my hols. Still trying to use my cricut more, hence the above. The cream background was embossed and then coloured using antique linen and weathered wood distress inks. The frame was stamped with Versamark using a key and lock background and then embossed using Hobby art silver satin pearl embossing powder. The silhouette and inkwell and feather came from the Heritage cartridge and the flowers were cut from the Flower Shoppe cartridge. Firstly, though, I stuck double sided paper to the back of the card stock. After cutting out the flower spirals I gently peeled the paper off and pressed the spiral, sticky side down into very fine glitter.I then rolled the spiral into a flower from the outside in as opposed to from the middle out as described in the Flower shop manual. My way makes much nicer flowers. I did have to put a lot of glue underneath to make sure they didn't unwind because of the glitter. N.B: place the cardstock down onto the mat and not the double sided sticky side.
